Rodeo Parade!
Haylee got to be in a parade today!! She walked, smiled, and performed a dance with the dance studio she goes to here in Oakdale. When I dropped her off this morning it was a little chilly and she didn't quite know what to expect. But she jumped right in and had a blast!
When I saw her coming I ran across to videotape the dance. I had to squeeze and shimmy through the crowd and then the dancers were facing the judges table, which almost completely blocked the view for everyone else! So I only caught a tidbit of her dance....so bummed! But this shows just how much fun she was having and what a cute cowgirl she was!!

Our little Brooke
I am finally getting around to doing a post on our new baby, Brooke! She was born October 28, 2010, 8lb 14oz, 21 inches long. She is now almost five months old already and just a super sweet little baby. We couldn't love her more!
Brooke is always quick to give us big smiles! Her siblings love that she responds to them now and those smiles also melt her daddy's heart.
Her proud siblings! They couldn't wait to come see her at the hospital and didn't want to leave her or mom when it came time to go. They each made her a cute picture and wore big brother and big sister necklaces that they had made also. It made me so happy to see how much they adored her!
Look at this tight knot in her cord! My doctor called her our little miracle baby, saying also that sometimes with knots that tight the outcome isn't always positive. She had a really fast heartbeat inside of me and this knot explains why. Her delivery was very quick which was a blessing to her and me! I am so grateful our Heavenly Father looked after her and blessed her to be here. I still cry every time I think about this blessing.
Brooke, 2 days old. It is amazing how she has changed!

Finally....a pregnant photo!
I have promised a few of you that I would post a picture and I am finally, amazingly, suprisingly, getting around to it! So here I am, in all my pregnant glory! Hoping that tonight will be the night that I finally get to see this baby! We are now only five days away from my due date so it has to be soon....right?? haha
I thought it would be fun to not find out the gender on this baby and I had to really talk Layne into agreeing with me on this. :) But after many months of waiting we are just too excited to find out! So far at our house the guesses go as follows:
2- boy
1- girl
Anyone else want to place a guess?

A visit from the Tooth Fairy
Brecken has officially reached a childhood milestone.....1st lost tooth!
Of course, the before picture....
Proudly showing off the prize! He wiggled it with his tongue for two straight days and it finally just popped off super easy. Layne didn't even have to bring out the needle-nose plyers......
Since this picture was taken, he has told us of two more loose teeth. I'm sure he'll have quite the smile in the next couple of weeks.

Halloween time!
Happy Halloween! We had a day filled with green pancakes, 'Ice-Age 3', pumpkin painting, pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating, playing with friends, games, and yummy food! I think it can be said that our kiddos will sleep well tonight!
Hope all of you had a great day too!

First day of Kindergarten!
Just a few short years ago my little boy looked like this....
And now that little boy has hit a milestone in his life. He went to school for the first time on Monday! This is a picture of him all ready to go... Batman packpack loaded with supplies; lunch packed with his request- ham sandwich, carrots and chocolate milk; and new school clothes. He has been so excited for all of these things!
I have had all of the feelings that a first-time school parent has. Anticipation for what is ahead but also melancholy that childhood seems to go by so fast. I am excited for this new phase in his life...I just hope that he always remembers that he can still need his mom sometimes.
